We wish all our customers and supporters a Happy Holiday Season! As we approach the close of 2011, may the spirit of the season lift you up, and continue to fill your days with joy throughout the coming year!

Shoot Straight values our associates and their families. To give all our associates the opportunity to spend time with loved ones, our stores will close at 6pm on Dec. 24th. We will be closed all of Christmas Day, Dec. 25th. We will re-open on Dec. 26th at 10am. Then, our stores will close again on Dec. 31st at 6pm. We will be closed all of New Years Day, Jan. 1st. Then, we will re-open on Jan. 2nd at 10am.

What was Old Is New, as Shoot Straight Revitalizes Two More Stores

Shoot Straight Casselberry and Shoot Straight Clearwater are the latest stores to grow with our current family of Florida-based shooting sports stores and ranges. A much smaller version of the Casselberry store had existed at its current location for years, before the entire property was demolished to make way for a brand new facility, that just re-opened last week. The Clearwater property, which was formerly known as Knight Shooting Sports, was acquired in mid-November. The two-story building will be completely renovated by Shoot Straight, for a Grand Re-opening within the first quarter of 2012. Shoot Straight plans to continue expanding throughout Florida, with future stores planned for the southern half of the peninsula. Check back frequently for all the latest details and exciting new developments.

Formerly known as Knight Shooting Sports, the two-story building will be completely renovated by its' new owner, Shoot Straight. Clearwater is a fantastic location on Florida's West Coast, with a diverse and dynamic population, that serves a growing community of shooting sports enthusiasts all the way up the coast. The huge showroom will display one of the largest firearm inventories in the Southeast U.S., and the new, air conditioned range will comfortably accomodate shooters year-round.

The eagerly anticipated re-opening of Shoot Straight Casselberry will take place Tuesday, November 22, 2011. The new Shoot Straight Casselberry will open its doors at 10 am, proudly displaying the modern, vastly larger showroom and range. As many long-time customers know, the former store was completely demolished to make way for parking, and the new store was built on an adjacent property that was purchased by Shoot Straight. The new facility is more than three times the size of the original, and has all the range amenities and quality that customers have come to expect from Shoot Straight. Here we Grow Again! Florida West Coast customers, get ready for Shoot Straight Clearwater! We've just acquired the former "Knight Shooting Sports" property at 12000 US Hwy 19 N., Clearwater, FL 33764, and we're really excited about adding our seventh Shoot Straight store and range in Florida. Update: New Shoot Straight Casselberry Store Opening Drawing Closer

New store under contruction next to the former store 

Final construction and merchandising setup for the Shoot Straight Casselberry store is well underway. The former store is now closed to the public, in order to facilitate the transfer of displays and products to the new facility. The new store and range is expected to have about three times the floor space, and more than double the number of range lanes. The new Casselberry store is slated to open sometime in the early half of October 2011. A firm opening date should be available after the final construction details, parking area, and approvals have been completed. We’re all excited and looking forward to the opening of this first-class facility that Shoot Straight is developing to better serve our customers.

We're animal lovers too! Here's a nice story... An associate at Shoot Straight Tampa found a large hawk, with a wounded left wing, in the parking lot. The Tampa store owner called the local Audubon Society, and watched over the bird until they arrived. The lady rescuer from the Audobon Society had never been to a gun store before. She discovered that although we sell guns, and some of us are hunters, we are also compassionate animal lovers! She later reported that the wing would be mended, the hawk would recover, and it would be released in the wild within a short time. Happy story ending :)

New Shoot Straight Casselberry Store Under Construction

Shoot Straight Casselberry is undergoing a total makeover. A new Shoot Straight Casselberry store and range is under construction next to the current store. The new store will be twice the size, with a modern range, and a much larger selection of merchandise. The original store will remain in operation until late August, when the process of moving into the new building will begin. Once the transition from the original store to the new one is complete, the old store will be demolished to make room for the enlarged parking area. Shoot Straight continues to open new stores throughout Florida, and is eagerly anticipating the opening of the new Shoot Straight Casselberry later this Fall.

Shoot Straight Tampa announces its next "Ladies Class: Introduction to Personal Protection". This class is designed specifically for ladies wishing to learn more about self defense. The instructors are top-notch professionals, with years of experience in working with ladies step-by-step, to help them develop their skills. The class is conducted in a safe and friendly setting, with a small group of participants. And, it includes the use of the modern, indoor range facilities. The class is only offered every 2-3 months, and the next one is scheduled for Friday, March 11th, 2011, from 5:30pm - 9pm.
